Not sure of the address? No problem!

Do this:

  1. Enter the City and State - and part of the location name - just give Google a basic clue.
  2. Click the "Confirm Location" - look through the list.
  3. If you find your location - select it.

Tips

I didn't find my location.

I STILL didn't find my location!

The location name is wrong (or wierd).

The zip code is missing!!

My event is 'downtown' or in a park - not in a particular building.

I don't want to give my address in a public anouncement.

I didn't find my location.

You find the location by providing Google a few clues, then selecting from the list of likely locations. Odd as it seems, the LESS you can enter the better. Try entering one key word from the location's name, followed by City and State.

For example, if it's in a church, you could enter 'Methodist Birmingham Mi'.

Sorry it didn't work - but you can always just type in the address.

I found the location - but the name came up wrong!

Google often provides strange names - ones that won't help your audience find the event.

After selecting the location, you can change the name if you want - make it a little more visitor friendly

Yeah - not sure why Google doesn't provide zip codes with the address.

The good news is that it's not a problem - the maps and location searching still work fine. Never hurts to type it in if you happen to know it!

My event is 'downtown' or in a park - not in a particular building.

Parades, street parties and art fairs are not at one particular place. You still should use the "Confirm Location' button because it will allow us to provide a map. Here's what I suggest:

If there is no specific address simply search for city and state. Select it, then, change the location name and address to something like 'Founders Park, First and Elm'.

One comment first:
Publicdrum is intended for events that are open to the public. If this is a private event - don't list it here.

That said, some events - like house councerts - may have very limited capacity and you don't want too many people just showing up. Here's what I suggest:

If you don't want to disclose the location, simply search for city and state. Select it, then, change the location name and address to something like 'Check our website'.
